any of my fellow black women know of some good skin care products such as cleansers, toners, and moisturizers?

Cocoa Butter?

I drinks loads of water everyday and add moistuizer daily to my skin. It is for very dry skin but it is not enough. I don’t like wearing moisturizer in the summer because the heat makes me sweat alot. But if I don’t put it on my skin is very dry. My doctor said eat more oily fish. Did nothing. Is there a product out there? Is it my skin? By the way I shower with a moisterizing body wash. It helps somewhat but not enough.

Use a body exfoliator that you can buy in the store or add a small amount of sugar to your body cleanser. You can also try the products w/ oatmeal in them. You could also try using an aloe vera gel (also from the store).

I have sensitive skin, and I have random small break-outs (nothing horrible). However, I have used Cetaphil and it burns my skin. Recently, I tried the DDF sensitive skin line of cleansers, toner, and SPF 15 moisturizer, and I also recently started using Bare Minerals cosmetics. My face is having yet another allergic reaction either to the make-up or the cleansers. Since I have sensitive skin, why are sensitive skin products causing irritation and burning for me? Is it a certain ingredient in these products that makes this happen? Are there any recommended products for situations like mine? Thanks so much!

I know where you are coming from,I’ve got extremely sensitIve and allergic skin,ive tried allot of things out there.The best products I have found are natural based and do not contain synthetics,I use a scent free glycerin soap called clearly natural,for my toner I use plain witch hazel and then i follow it with a scent free natural lotion without parabins.Bare minerals doesn’t bother my skin,I recommend you look for gentle products at a whole foods store if it doesn’t work on Ur skin u can always return it,just save the receipt Best of luck!

What daily moisturizer is good for oily to normal (face) skin? My skin gets a little bit oily but not enough to say "Wow that person has greasy skin". I like to moisturize, but the creams i have bought so far just make my skin oily.

olay aloe vera cream is great for dryness and it leaves skin soft nice hydrated without greasyness plus it has natural ingredients to soothe your skin it cost $5 at walmart.

How does hand cream really work?
Doesnt dead skin cells mean that the nucleus of the cell is dead, how can cream simply revive it?

My friend asked me that question and i unconfidently answered that cream doesnt really revive the skin it temporarily restores it. and the only way to get rid of the dead skin is to remove it /let it fall off

was i talking total non-sence or am i close to the correct answer?

it doesn’t revive dead cells at all, when they’re dead they’re dead. it just adds moisture to your hands. if you brush your nails with a stiff nail brush to remove dead skin cells first the hand cream really works to stop your hand drying out so much next time.
