As men we are always told a bar of soap and scrub your face and be done with it. I once used a facial wash system on my face for a few weeks and was amazed how smooth and clear my skin got. I got away from it and for years, I’ve just been doing the bar of soap thing.

This might sound weird but I’m looking for skin care products for men? My face gets very oily and very dull. People keep asking me why I look so dull, even though I not tired and get 8 hours sleep minimum. Is there any face cream or face wash product that will reduce the oil and/or dulness in my face.?
Really gender isn’t a big issue with facial cleansers. I’m going to suggest Aveeno skin brightening daily scrub.

Have you..or do you use some kind of facial creams or lotions to look after your skin. I’m coming up to 32 & I want to look after my appearence, wrinkles & open pores..there are so many products on the market..which works for you? or is fruit/veg & exercise the best?
Simple and NOT expensive. I use Dial antibacterial w/ vitamins to wash my face, a couple times a week I add a teaspoon of salt to exfoliate the skin. Then I use witch hazel after washing as a toner. Finally I apply a moisturizing cream to help protect the skin, I like Clean & Clean brand, it’s oil free and helps prevent break-outs and it can be purchase at any grocery or chain drugstore. Aging has a lot to do with your genes (and a good diet w/ exercise), but I have found this regiment helps fight back the years.

I am making a skin care and cosmetic line for men but cannot think of a good name. Any ideas would be appreciated. God bless.
I think it depends on what kind of products you’ll be selling. I know that it’s a line focused towards men, but what about the products themselves? Will your products be oil-free? Will your products feature many shades to choose from? Will your products be cheap?

I think I need to try and clean up my face, every once in a while I get pimples around my mouth and it really stands out as unatractive.

I know this may be a stupid question but I have always wondered….. is it normal? If I go out and buy a blackhead cleanser will I get looks?
also, while I am asking this question… should I use pore strips or a cleanser to get rid of blackheads?
Who cares? It’s YOUR body! Don’t ever govern your life by what ‘others think!’ It is nobody’s business but yours. Most guys, when growing up could care less about how their skin looks. But, once you’ve matured enough, you start thinking about what all you can/need to do to keep it looking good. Don’t worry about stuff you have no control over.

Do men care about women’s skin issues like acne scars, stretch marks, keratosis, exczema etc? How important is a girl’s skin to guys? Do men prefer bad skin nice figure or good skin bad figure?
well…first of all…it really depends on the guy…every guy is different…i have pretty much everything you named…and my boyfriend still loves me unconditionally…i really do think that guys do prefer smooth, nice skin though…but just like his skin wouldn’t affect your love for him…he loves you with or without perfect skin (no such thing anyway)…

I like to use the nivea shaving gel and aftershave balm for sensitive skin when I am shaving because it soothes and calms my skin brilliantly even though my skin is classed as normal( I think anyway), although my necks tends to become a bit red after shaving. To be honest I have never given much thought to skin type until christmas, as I got a mositurizing face wash from nivea (normal to dry skin) and I am not sure if I should use it.

Hi
My Brother inlaw is of Jamaican decent and suffers with extremely dry skin which bothers him. I was hoping for Xmas to make up a little pamper pack of products for him as I always do for my Sister. Searching on google for skincare products specially formulated for black males hasn’t come back with many results. Does anyone know of any good moisturising shower gels and lotions that would suit him.

Men often tend to neglect skin care. Its important however that you follow general hygiene such as regular washing. also moisturize your skin if required. Wear a sun screen when required. Be careful while shaving to avoid scraping too hard or nicking the skin. This will help keep your skin looking good.

I was considering using Loreal Men Expert, but I’m not really too sure about it. It seems a little too commercialized and because of that I have my doubts.

I am asking because at a recent trip to the drugstore, I noticed that the men’s skin care lines are cheaper than the women’s, and yet the ingredient lists read about the same. Can you recommend any products?
Mary Kay cosmetics have products for men. Velocity would be a good start. Most of the products that are listed, men can use. Even the shave gels that we have, men can use.

what medications are good for african american mens skin care
for razor bumps use bump stopper. you can find it in beauty stores/riteaid /walgreens, even safeway. i went to a dermatologist & he told me to use electric clippers, not regular razors to shave. also before grooming put a hot/warm towel under your neck to soften the hair up. then man up and use alcohol right after you shave.

I’m wondering what are some great skin care product for men. First off though, I’m in my late 20’s and only get acne every so often, so I’m not interested in products for the teenage set like Neutrogena or Clearasil. I do have acne scars from my puberty days and also have pretty large pores so any tips on what to buy and how to use them would be great.

Hi, usually I use Loreal Men expert products, the exfoliating scrub, another loreal wash, then a loreal anti-fatigue moisturiser. I usually just wash once in the morning and not normally at night but my skin is a lot better since I’ve been using these products. Still I was wondering if there’s anything I could use to improve my skin even more and make it more soft? I am young so I am not really thinking about using anti age creams.
Maybe you could use a serum as well. It is a moisturizing products that can be applied before the moisturizing cream in order to penetrate the lower layers of skin (hypo dermis).
I don’t know any good brand for this but I’m sure you’ll get help if you go to the appropriate store.

(i am 19 and concerned with my oily face)
here is what you need to do, Use neutrogena clear scrub 2x a day, (about $5.00) morning and night, then if you still have excess oil in your skin use Clean and clear oil absorbing sheets (about $5.00) they really work. And since you already have oily skin, you don’t need moisturizers anymore, since this will only make your skin more oily. And you’re all set up.
Good LUCK!!!

if you want something hypoallergenic: Clinique, but if you do not, you should use CLARINS,it is very good and you can see results immediately. Trust me, my husband didnt believe in using this kind of stuff and now he uses daily as they are not greasy and they are easy to use.
