Hi! I have oily skin, large pores, and lots of black heads on my nose and cheek area. I wanted to know about any skin care products that would help my skin to become less oily and that would help my pores to be unclogged so the appearance of the blackheads would be less, and maybe even shrink the pores too.
But I would like the recommended products to be reasonably priced, nothing pricey because I don’t have that kind of money to be buying expensive products.
thanks in advanced!
I have used a lot of different products for my oily skin. My favorite inexpensive find has been St Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub. Use every other day.

I have naturally light skin that burns a bit then tans pretty well. However, my skin is sensitive and sometimes reacts to the tanning lotions. I definitely can’t use the heat/tingle ones. What is a good one for sensitive skin that works well and under $30 if possible. Thanks!!
Crystal I from Austrailan Gold. It has 21 nutrients for your skin and is excellent for sensitive skin. It sells for $100 at salon but you can find it for $30 on Ebay. Your skin is worth this investment!

No matter what soap I use, what moisturizer I use, or how hard/soft I wash my face, I always have dry skin on my face. When I wash it, it goes away for a hour at the most. What can I do to get rid of dry skin on my face? Any tips? Thanks.
Try Cocoa Butter lotion. (Palmer’s is great.) It might take more than one day for it to work.

I have super oily skin. I wash my face like 2-3 times a day and I use an oil free moisturizer. After I apply make up, with in an hour or less my face is shiny as can be. I can’t stand it. Most of it is because I am mexican/italian so I have naturally oily skin. Is there something I can do with out drying my face out completely? HELP please.
Apply gram powder (powder of gram grains) mixed with a little milk and turmeric of the skin before or instead of soap at the time of bath. This will take away the oil from skin and it will be soft and silky. Try it and see the results in a couple of days.

I’m just curious
They can. It’s not so much about the color of one’s skin, but the type. White skin probably needs more sun protection, though.

I have very sensitive dry skin and this winter is really harsh on my skin right now. I’ve been using gold bond lotions but my skin does not seam to really absorb it. Looking for products I can buy at a drug store or mall. Thanks!
Also, please don’t suggest Vaseline or coco butter I dont want to be untouchable and greasy!
Eucerin has several lotions, what one do you use?
Thanks Karen, but I’m looking for body not face.
Unscented Lotions work the best.

My skin is extremely oily. I have to wash it 3 or 4 times a day to get rid of the oil. It’s all over my face, not just in certain areas and it even gets into my hair line. I have to keep my hair in a pony tail to keep my hair from looking dirty throughout the day. I’d like to let my hair down sometimes! What can I do to keep it from getting so oily or getting oily so fast? I’ve tried oil reducing face wash and oil blotting sheets but the oil sheets cant get the oil out of my hair line, which is what I’m mostly concerned about. Help!
I also have oily skin, and I use Pore Minimizer T-Zone shine control from Clinique..it works pretty well.

So I am 16 years old, and on/ around my birthday (Oct 2010) it will have been 2 years since I began my hair journey. I don’t want to do the big chop, and even though I’ve had some results they aren’t really moving along. I was doing some research and I found out that the products I have been using are a no-no. Also, I mix-match my products because I can’t find a complete hair line that is cheap (it is a recession lol). I use nature fusion moisture balance by Pantene and sulfur8 oil moisturizing creme. For conditioner I use Dr. Miracle, which I’m out of so I’m not sure what ingredients it has. The Shampoo contains sodium laureth sulfate, and the creme has mineral oil and petrolatum. I also have dandruff so if you could mention any cheap, organic products that would be good for that I would REALLLLLLYYYYYYY APPRECIATE IT!!!!!! Also I am going out of town soon and I need some cute hairstyle ideas that will last for about a month and can be washed. I haven’t really gotten used to doing my own hair, and as embarrassing as it is, my mom does my hair, lol. Also, I am trying to find some cheap, natural skin products to give me a glow and even my skin tone. Right now I have about 5 diff tones, any suggestions. Besides that I need a really good, affordable chap stick and lip gloss! The products I use always end up crumbling and there is white flakes more or less. I usually use chapstick, blistex, carmex(which def dries my lips even worse), and for lip gloss I use beautyruch from Victoria’s Secret or Neutragena. I don’t mean to seem cheap but it is a recession and my mom is a single parent. Thanks in advance!!!!
i would not worry about sounding cheap. all those products are no-nos. dr. miracle made my transitioning natural hair too strong and tough, so did the expensive all natural carol’s daughter. pantene is probably not for your hair type. try what i use shea butter and olive oil/ or jojoba oils and shea butter shampoo, the entire line can be bought at wal-mart or target . each product is under $6. shampoo and leave the cream conditioner in with a little mix of the olive, depending on the condition of your hair, do two -strand twists while damp in small to medium sections (your choice ) all over your head. let it air dry.you can do that the day before your trip. the morning of take them apart touching each tip and hairline with the cream, then put an old-school fabric headband to pull the hair back and just let them stick up all over. now that’s a look. use vitamin e for lips its in a lipstick tube.use nice oils and shea butters on your skin only. there are trial sizes of most anything .Oh yeah don’t pull the strands all the way apart they might frizz. don’t ever comb them out. use your fingers only.

Everytime I wax my arms, my upper arms break out badly. My skin is very sensitive in that area. Does anybody know of a skin removal method or product that works better for sensitive skin? Also, does anyone know how to take care of the pimples that are already on my arms due to the waxing quickly? I have a wedding come up in a week and I need to wear sleeveless!
nair or veet.

A couple days ago, I started to find dry skin on my face. It is on both of my cheeks, and spreading to my chin and above. How can I get rid of this dry skin? I’ve been trying Vaseline, and it reduces the dry skin, but I still have it.
at night and in showers, exfoliate your skin, with washes that have almost like those little sand grain like bits in them. then every night, or as often as you can, moisterize. yeah, vaseline is good. but seriously, do it as much as you can. it might take a while, but it will go away.

I have already tried bare minerals it doesn’t work for me…. I have very sensitive skin that breaks out very easily. My skin is very oily and I do apply a non oil based foundation and powder as makeup. I need good coverage that won’t leave my skin looking like I just dipped it in a grease bucket. I always have to constantly blot my face so that it doesn’t look oily. I need desperate help. If you really know what your talking about please give me advice. Thanks!
If you’re on a budget, I recommend Covergirl liquid foundation. It’s $8. It lasts for 6-8 hours and is sweat proof. I have oily skin and it works great for me. I also have the pressed powder foundation to touch up on shiny areas like my forehead every few hours.

Are you natural? What is a good moisturizer for hair. Best way to prevent split ends. How do you protect hair during sleep. Thank you.
Healthy skin = good diet, vitamins, lots of water, daily cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing.

I have extremely sensitive skin that is also very dry. I have tried many different cleansers and often the ones that claim to be gentle cause my skin to have an allergic reaction. I am not too concerned about price as long as it works well.

Every morning I put cocoa butter on my face and since I ride the bus, I wait in the sun a lot and my skin gets oily (especially my nose). What product should I use so that my skin won’t be oily or is there a lotion I can switch to? I hate oily skin because it makes me look less attractive in my opinion. Any suggestions?
well don’t use cocoa butter. i use that for my body cause it keeps my skin even but i don’t think it should be used on the face. as for me i have dry skin and i used clean and clear advantage oil free acne moisturizer and it made my face dry. so maybe if you use it on oily skin it will work better. and clear acne.

Can someone give me some guide lines on what i should eat everyday to have healthy skin? I also have mild acne. Thanks!
According to this Neutrogena pamphlet I have "borrowed" from my girlfriend, what you eat does not determine how healthy your skin can be. Acne’s got less to do with what you put in your body than what’s happening to your body. Hormones are a major player, that’s why so many teens get it. During teen years hormones called androgens increase and make pouches deep inside your skin called "sebaceous glands and pump out oil. That’s what causes acne because they clog your pores.

I have dry patches on my forehead ,nose, and eyelids (is that weird?) if that says anything about my skin. As I said I also have sensitive skin that turns red and irritated easily. I want to find a good skincare routine to help my skin. I dont want to spend a whole bunch of money on anything either. I really want to get rid of the dryness or most of it. THANKS!
The Moor Spa range sounds perfect for you, in peticuler the Nourishing Moisturiser is desgined for people who have dry skin but is also less irritent then water on your skin, it might be a good idea to try the dry skin pack with that you get 4 difrent products to help your dry skin

My skin is very dry and I hate wearing lotion and putting it on. Is there a body wash that will moisturize our skin enough so that I don’t have to wear lotion. I don’t like oily feeling left behind so none of those.
Try Lush’s Buffy the Backside Slayer. make sure you step out of the shower water when you use it or it will melt. Just a few swipes across your skin then rinse. It exfoliates and moisturizes, you will not need a moisturizer after using it. I use a moisturizer only on days when I do not use Buffy. It does leave you skin a bit tacky but not so that it is uncomfortable. You could also try Lush’s The Olive Branch body wash which has olive oil in it and is quite moisturizing.

In the morning I go through my daily routine of putting on makeup, doing my hair, etc. But i notice throughout the day that my skin gets very oily and my foundation wears away. I usually put on a little foundation for a good base and then top it off with a powder. Does anyone have any suggestions that would help prevent this?
you could use Balancing Moisturiser (Young Skin or Under Make-Up) or you could try Hollywood Oil Blotting Paper (Take The Shine Away Without Removing The Makeup) heres links to both i hope they help you

What are some good vitamins to take for healthy skin and hair? I know Biotin and Vitamin E are good ones, as well as Fish Oil, but what else?
Vitamin A which you can find in bananas and green vegetable or you can always buy a supplement.
I know that flax seeds are really good for you too.
Omega three’s although not a vitamin are really really good for you body! I suggest buying a supplement of them but you can look up what they are in. I know theyre in fish. These will help with acne and get rid of scars because they clean the body of any bad agents. Good luck!
