What is the best mild hand cream for dry skin?

I thought Eucerin was the best mild hand cream for dry skin, but I put it on almost daily (sometimes a couple of times a day) and my hands are still crazy dry! Also, I hate the oily feeling after applying Eucerin because I feel like I don’t want to touch anything for a while after beause the oil gets on everything!! Please help.

One suggestion is Aveeno hand cream (not lotion). It does not have a greasy feeling, soaks in quickly, and works well to moisturize really dry skin. Another suggestion is Impruv cream, but it’s more expensive.

Remember, if you really need intensive moisturizing, go for a cream rather than a lotion.

Quit messing around and put vaseline on them before you go to sleep at night. In the morning, your hands will be well moisturized. There are some good lotions at Yves Rocher’s website. They cost a little more than Eucerin, but they work better, too.

I use Avon Moisture Therapy Intensive Hand Cream before I go to bed. If you use just a tad, your hands feel soft but not greasy. I usually apply one layer, rub it in, and then do another, just for good measure, before I go to sleep.

You can also put the Eucerin on at night and put gloves on immediately after. The heat from the gloves will help the lotion absorb into your skin.

    Winter will be over soon!

If your hands are super dry try putting ‘utter cream’ on your hands. It may sound odd but they put it on cow’s teets to prevent dryness and infection. We use Bagbalm it works for anything from diaper rash to a scraped knee and it really helps dry skin.

I find udder cream to be one of the best moisturizers because your skin can absorb all of the things it’s supposed to. When you have mineral oil or glycerin as a primary ingredient to your lotions, you will have a problem with your skins ability to absorb all the goodness that also comes in said lotion. The mineral oil blocks you skin from absorbing stuff and you end up rubbing it off on you clothing or sheets.

Udder cream can be found at WalMart in the health and beauty aisle. And yes, it’s primary use is as cream to put on udders to keep them from being rubbed raw by the milking machines.
